SUMMARY:ABITARE - Solo Exhibition with works by  Samanta Malavasi
DESCRIPTION:In today’s world\, ‘home life’ has undergone a radical transformation. Homes used to be places of gathering\, spaces where families came together\, and neighbours were an integral part of our daily lives. Homes were not just places of retreat\, but also social hubs.\nHowever\, with the advancement of digital technologies and increasing globalisation\, the concept of ‘living’ has undergone an unprecedented transformation. The idea of social interaction within one’s own four walls has become a utopia\, as we are constantly connected yet simultaneously distanced from others. This turning point in living manifests itself in emotional isolation and a loss of community.\nThe exhibition aims to explore this turning point. Through dance and visual art\, the isolation and alienation that often characterise modern life are visually represented. \nSamanta Malavasi is a contemporary abstract painter and installation artist who lives and works in Modena and Berlin.\nThrough multi-layered\, monochrome compositions\, her works invite reflection on the human condition\, transcending differences in language\, origin or worldview. The monochrome in her works is not merely an aesthetic choice\, but a symbolic act: a single colour that unites and represents humanity as a shared whole.\nEach of her works invites the viewer to reflect on their own journey\, to recognise the traces left behind and received\, and to foster a dialogue between the personal and the universal. Her art serves as a reminder that everything – every layer\, every trace – transforms into something else\, thus creating an endless cycle of transformation and community. \nGiusy Cirillo is an Italian contemporary dancer and performer based in Berlin and Rome. \n
