SUMMARY:Art Gallery Susanne Rikus - New show Anima Mundi opening 26-30 April 2023 - Gallery Weekend Berlin
DESCRIPTION:Anima Mundi – art by Susanne Rikus \nDear friends of the „Art Gallery Susanne Rikus“\, \nEnd of April is again Gallery Weekend in Berlin and you are cordially invited to see the newly curated exhibition. \nThis exhibition shows paintings by me from the years 2005 until today.\n4/26/2023 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. artist is present\, art talk\, music performance\n4/27/2023 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. artist is present\, art talk\, music performance \n4/28/2023 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.\n4/29/2023 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.\n4/30/2023 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. \nIn all the works I was concerned with the relationship of man to nature and the soul of the landscape.\nThis exhibition is an invitation to see the unknown\, the invisible\, to understand the soul of the world\, that there is a connection between everything. \nThe trees\, the wind\, the flowers – they all touch our senses and are our sources for a peaceful world. \nArt can and should be a portal into the invisible. \nThe world soul is a religious and natural philosophical concept. It is based on the idea of an analogy between the totality of the cosmos and the individual living being\, especially the human being. \nI am an artist\, a graduate engineer in architecture (FH)\, director of this gallery – and always in search of the wisdom of ancient cultures and their way of connecting with the world. \nMy research took me to Mexico\, Hawaii\, Sardinia\, Malta\, Stonehenge (England) and Carnac (France). \nThe title „Anima Mundi“ stands for the world soul and the hidden mystery behind the forms of the visible. \nThe architects of the Middle Ages recognized our deeper connection with the world soul. \nIn 2019\, at the Archaeological Museum of Naples\, I was able to see works by Antonio Canova\, a Renaissance artist. \nWith him\, and in Florence with other artists of the time\, I studied how they transferred the invisible structure of the World Soul into architecture\, paintings or sculptures and made it tangible for us. \nThere is a series on this in this exhibition: photographs with painting transferred to acrylic glass (transfer art). \nOther series on Hawaii\, as well as nudes of women and also new acrylic paintings on canvas. \nThey were made to show that in a space of silence you can leave the world behind and go deeper into the mystery. \nFor me\, it’s about searching for the hidden meaning of our creation. \nHow does our soul work? \nIn 2007 I founded the Alohana Institute (Coaching & Psychotherapy) and help people to heal their traumas and to unfold their rich potential. \nArt became more and more a tool for me to heal and to be even closer to the world (human & nature) with it. \nWe are more than one person having an experience\, or one group. In reality\, we are all one – invisible patterns connect us to others around the globe. \nMy father was a professor of architecture and we also spent a lot of time in the forest\, where he showed me how to make fire with water and how to survive in the wilderness. \nHe showed me the beauty in creation e.g. a flower\, the divine peace in it. \nHe discovered forgotten places thousands of years old\, where rituals were performed in ancient times. These places had connection with planets\, the stars and with other neighboring places. \nI also studied our connection to the earth and the cosmos in the temple buildings in Hawaii (since 1998) and in Sardinia (since 2007). \nI love to explore the unknown and have also studied with shamans\, for example in Hawaii and Canada. \nExhibition of the artist Susanne Rikus in the Heckmann Höfe in Berlin-Mitte.\nTechniques: Acrylic paint on canvas\, transfer art on acrylic glass.\nAdditional information: \nFurther information:\n(1) current exhibition on artsy „Anima Mundi“ – artsy\n(2) current exhibition on artsy „All you need is love“ – artsy\n(3) current exhibition on artsy „Let`s create a future that we love“ – artsy\n(4) Instagram: #susannerikus\n(5) Art Gallery Susanne Rikus: https://art-gallery-susanne-rikus.com \nPlease make an appointment if you might want to see the exhibition on other days. \nI can be reached by phone for questions at: 0172-1974480. \nHere below are now some small glimpses of the current exhibition… \nWith best regards from Berlin-Mitte \nYours\, Susanne Rikus \n
