DESCRIPTION:We are excited to present the Artist Talk with Vadim Zakharov\, who is a proponent of the Moscow Conceptual Art and has exhibited in the Russian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2013. Present exhibition in our gallery “Vadim Zakharov – George Orwell / 7 Dictators / Duchamp Prostate\,“ curated by Chiara Valci Mazzara\, is running concurrently with the group exhibition “The Cool and the Cold: Paintings in the USA and the USSR 1960-1990” at the museum Gropius Bau\, Berlin\, which exhibits several of his artworks from the 1980s. \nThe gallery exhibition displays selected pieces belonging to three new series together with renowned works. The pieces are linked by the main concept of the act of overlaying images\, words\, quotes\, and symbols\, the semantics\, and the signifiers: those constructing a show in which the artistic process together with some of the most important topics addressed by Zakharov are presented to the public through an attentive and cohesive installation. For the first time displaying a selection of works on paper\, multi-layered offset prints and gold leaf as well as three dimensional works. \nWir freuen uns\, das Künstlergespräch mit Vadim Zakharov zu präsentieren\, der ein Vertreter der Moskauer Konzeptkunst ist und im russischen Pavillon auf der Biennale von Venedig 2013 ausgestellt hat. Derzeit läuft seine Ausstellung in unserer Galerie „Vadim Zakharov – George Orwell / 7 Dictators / Duchamp Prostate\,“ kuratiert von Chiara Valci Mazzara\, zeitgleich mit der Gruppenausstellung „The Cool and the Cold: Malerei in den USA und der UdSSR 1960-1990“ im Museum Gropius Bau\, Berlin\, in der einige seiner Werke aus den 1980er Jahren zu sehen sind. \nDie Ausstellung in der Galerie zeigt ausgewählte Werke aus drei neuen Serien zusammen mit bekannten Arbeiten. Die Werke sind durch das Hauptkonzept der Überlagerung von Bildern\, Wörtern\, Zitaten und Symbolen\, der Semantik und der Signifikanten miteinander verbunden: Sie bilden eine Schau\, in der der künstlerische Prozess zusammen mit einigen der wichtigsten von Zakharov behandelten Themen dem Publikum durch eine aufmerksame und zusammenhängende Installation präsentiert wird. Zum ersten Mal wird eine Auswahl von Arbeiten auf Papier\, mehrschichtigen Offsetdrucken und Blattgold sowie dreidimensionalen Arbeiten gezeigt. \n
