DESCRIPTION:Mit Arbeiten von Maxwell Dunlop\, Marie Louise Elshout\, Armando Mariño\, MASCH und James Johnston versammelt die Ausstellung „The Space Between“ vom 3. Juli bis zum 15. August 2026 internationale Positionen aus den USA\, Kuba\, den Niederlanden\, Großbritannien und Deutschland. \nZwischen Traum\, Erinnerung und Atmosphäre entstehen sehr unterschiedliche Bildwelten: die stille\, filmische Malerei des amerikanischen Künstlers Maxwell Dunlop\, die poetischen hybriden Figuren der niederländischen Künstlerin Marie Louise Elshout sowie das großformatige Interieur des Exilkubaners Armando Mariño\, dessen leuchtendes Licht und künstliche Eleganz zwischen Verführung und Isolation oszillieren. \nErgänzt werden diese Arbeiten durch die feinen Papierarbeiten von MASCH\, die mit ihrer Leichtigkeit und Klarheit die besondere Stimmung des Sommers aufnehmen\, sowie durch die intuitive und fragile figurative Malerei des britischen Musikers und Künstlers James Johnston. \nWith works by Maxwell Dunlop\, Marie Louise Elshout\, Armando Mariño\, MASCH and James Johnston\, the exhibition The Space Between\, on view from July 3 to August 15\, 2026\, brings together international artistic positions from the United States\, Cuba\, the Netherlands\, Great Britain and Germany. \nBetween dream\, memory and atmosphere\, very different visual worlds emerge: the quiet\, cinematic paintings of American artist Maxwell Dunlop\, the poetic hybrid figures of Dutch artist Marie Louise Elshout\, and the large-scale interior by Cuban exile artist Armando Mariño\, whose luminous light and artificial elegance oscillate between seduction and isolation. \nThese works are complemented by MASCH’s delicate paper works\, whose lightness and clarity reflect the particular atmosphere of summer\, as well as by the intuitive and fragile figurative paintings of British musician and artist James Johnston. \nBeitragsbild: MASCH\, PLAYING SPECIES \n
