DESCRIPTION:Overview:\nBBA Gallery is pleased to announce Three Chords & Two Cameras\, a duo exhibition bringing together the works of American photographer Michael Grecco and German photographer Per Schorn. Running from July 4 to August 1\, 2026\, the exhibition offers a profound visual dialogue on the punk and alternative music subcultures\, exploring the medium of photography as both a witness to public rebellion and an intimate space for personal ritual.\nAbout the Exhibition:\nThe exhibition juxtaposes two distinct eras\, geographical landscapes\, and photographic methodologies. Michael Grecco’s Days of Punk series provides an aggressive\, firsthand documentary account of the late 1970s and 1980s Boston music scene. Capturing legendary artists on stage and behind the scenes\, Grecco’s high-contrast\, kinetic imagery embodies the raw energy\, sound\, and defiance of a movement breaking away from societal norms.\nIn contrast\, Per Schorn’s The Photo Booth Book shifts the focus from the chaotic public stage to a controlled\, highly democratic space. Over several years\, Schorn traveled with a mobile\, analog-style photo booth\, inviting over 400 musicians and figures from the international punk community to step inside.
