“Ultra” by Lukas Liese
6. September 2025 - 7. November 2025

The presentation brings together a new body of work in which urban visual culture, collective identity, and sculptural form enter into a dynamic dialogue.
In his artistic practice, Liese primarily works with stone. By addressing the presence of stone in space, its geological properties, and its art- and cultural-historical significance, he creates an interplay between content and material that adds further layers to his work. In addition to traditional tools of stone sculpture, Liese also employs digitally controlled techniques and chemical processes for his sculptures and reliefs.
Working with Carrara marble, his preferred material, Liese translates fleeting impressions from the public realm into lasting sculptural gestures. The resulting works bring questions of transience and permanence, anonymity and community into focus. We warmly invite you to the opening and look forward to your visit.
