One Shot Award – Winter 2026

From 26. February to 01. March 2026, the Winter edition of the BBA One Shot Award returns to BBA Gallery in Berlin. See what shots have caught our eye this year from the open call.

The group exhibition will host 20 shortlist finalists in the gallery, and 30 longlist nominees on digital display. It is set to be a celebration of photography and image making with the ongoing motif ‘Your Story. Your Medium.’. The images on display utilise the various tools and technology of image-making – from analogue film cameras to convenient mobile phone snaps to experimentation digital photography. The BBA One Shot Award is an international photography competition organised by Berlin-based BBA Gallery, known for promoting emerging artists in lens-based media. It focuses on recognising and celebrating the best single shot from photographers worldwide, emphasising the power of one image to convey a story, emotion, or concept. Unlike other competitions that prioritise portfolios, this award challenges photographers to distill their creative expression into a single, powerful image, offering a platform for emerging talent to gain recognition and visibility in the art world.
