Art Collective ALTTTTTAR was founded in Berlin by Mariia Bokovnia in 2022. The ALTTTTTAR project is a new vision of the representation of art. ALTTTTTAR offers both real and virtual spaces where young artists can express themselves. Organized exhibitions bring together creatives from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. They offer a safe space in which every talented artist could participate regardless of their cultural or social origin, age, religion, worldview.
We firmly believe that art serves to create dialogues with one another and to unite people. Young artists often find no room for representation in established galleries, white cubes and museums. As a counter-movement against the existing hierarchical structures of the art scene, everyday spaces are transformed by ALTTTTTAR to represent art. Urban spaces such as kiosks, shops, offices, parking lots, and industrial buildings undergo a temporary transformation to create new forms of artistic representation and bring city dwellers into direct contact with art and artists. Thus, art and everyday life influence and change each other.
As part of the project, video and online events as well as the group exhibition “Things to Come” have already taken place in Berlin. The past and planned exhibitions bring together artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. ALTTTTTAR offers space for exchange between different cultures and art forms.
