The artist Heidi Fosli from Norway has coming to in Berlin with her exceptional exhibition proposal “Human Society”.
For many years her mainly thema of her artworks is the careless society’s problems as the deepest concern for the environment, which is barely exhausted by the worldwide governments, that regretfully have no significant progress in the preservation of flora and fauna. Also the subject of interpersonal human relationship is another topic of her paintings as a profound psychological analysis of human being.
Heidi Fosli is an award-winning international artist. She is represented in permanent museum collections in the United States, Denmark, and Italy, and also has works in the public space in Italy. She made her debut in Oslo in 2006, and has received a very good reception in the art world. Customers consist of companies and private collectors from both Norway and internationally. Heidi Fosli is working from her studios both in Oslo, Norway and Arpino,Italy. She paints intuitive and colorful paintings in impressionistic style with anthropomorphic representations. Primary sources of inspiration are Claude Monet, and Munch’s symbolism. The general theme is to highlight social challenges in a global perspective. Technique is oil on canvas.
Josée van Schuppen
Josée van Schuppen presents her first Berlin exhibition “Imperfection is Perfect!” that has an autobiographical theme.
Josée van Schuppen (The Netherlands, 1963) grew up in an artminded environment. She worked as a communication officer when she had a severe horse riding accident on the North Sea shore. It completely turned her life upside down. At the age of forty she had to reinvent herself and the near death experience changed her vision on life totally. As she was not able to do her job properly anymore, because of brain injury, she decided to explore her creative talents. Her art teacher, international artist Michiel Dhont, taught her to paint with both hands from movement. The hands are the instruments of the heart so her artworks come straight from her heart – naturally.
After completing her training in expressive art, she continued her painting with her hands. Sometimes she also works with a big brush or palette knife. She took drawing and fine art lessons and studied Colour science with artist Dick Meeldijk, one of the experts in the Netherlands on this subject. She discovered the work of Willem de Kooning and Sam Francis, an American expressive colorist, and saw Karel Appel’s work in an Amsterdam gallery, so she feels connected with those three famous artists and loves their free, energetic way of using paint.
Music became an important companion in her studio. Besides colours, her art is all about textures, mixed media, dynamics and experimenting with various techniques and materials. Because her paintings picture her internal images she calls them Landscapes of the Soul.
Art Management Berlin presents the series of Berlin art exhibitions of the international professional artists that are featured The First Berlin Art Book © series.
