“tausend tränen” (a thousand tears) brings together a selection of Semmer‘s recent work in which she translates the well known „photo love stories“ from the German teen magazine Bravo into multi-layered paintings of melancholy intimacy. Using oil and sand, she creates re-enactments of youthful longing and invites us into a world between humor, unease, and nostalgia.
